Getting an internship is a mystery to every student who consider’s joining MDI ESCP Dual Degee Program. This phase of program is so enigmatic, that many students join other colleges just because of the lack of clarity of this topic.

Strategy

How does a full-time ESCP MIM student typically get an internship? Do they find it on their own or does the college help them in getting one? If they have to get it on their own how does that differ from our process?

Internship getting process for Full-time ESCP student and a student in MDI ESCP Dual degree program is same. Both the types of students are treated equally by ESCP Career Service department.

Students craft resumes in European format and apply directly to the companies they aspire to join. Unlike India, there is no intermediate involvement of ESCP college in this process. Following diagram shows the role of ESCP in internship process & MDI in internship process. There is a stark difference in how both college plays role in helping student get an internship.

ESCP Career Service Centre supports the student in getting internship in following ways:

  1. increasing visibility of available opportunities in the European market

  2. Goal setting & resume grooming counselling services

3)Tools & knowledge resources to make job application process of student efficient & effective

Fundamentally, students themselves have to scout for companies, craft their resumes & cover letters, and apply. The career service centre just acts as a support, that can be availed if and when needed.

Is it mandatory to do internship from Paris?

No, ESCP does not restrict students to do internship within any geography.
